Thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), sometimes referred to as thermoplastic rubbers, offer high precision flexible material suited to a range of applications from grips and shoe soles through to engineering applications such as bushings and anti-vibration mounts.
TPE offers faster cycle times and lower scrap rates.
Common TPE's used are:
TPE materials are often used as a rubber replacement because the process is less polluting, simpler, allows for waste recycling and a broadre range of colours. TPE is also commonly used as a replacement for PVC, especially for toys and products that come in contact with food because of its none toxic nature.
